Join a First Aid Course at Family Zoo – Hosted by Små LIV

Every Wednesday, we gather in our hall at Family Zoo for an essential First Aid Course for babies and toddlers, led by Små LIV.

Babies and toddlers are curious by nature. They explore the world by touching and tasting, and their little fingers find holes, cracks, and objects we adults might never imagine could pose a risk. They may put things in their mouth, nose, or ears – and as parents, it’s crucial to be prepared.

Infants are especially vulnerable, and as a new parent, it’s important to feel confident and safe knowing what to do in an emergency. When you know how to act and give first aid, you can respond quickly and effectively – and that can make all the difference.

The course covers essential first aid for babies and young children:

• Checking breathing

• Assessing circulation

• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

• Clearing blocked airways

• When to call emergency services (1-1-2)

• Burns and scalds

• Poisoning and corrosive injuries

• Febrile seizures

• Head injuries

• General observation of a sick child

• Child safety at home – a guided safety check

Get fully equipped as a parent in case of accidents.

About Små LIV

Små LIV specializes in first aid for babies and children. It’s their mission and passion to ensure everyone feels ready to step in if a little one is in need.

As experienced pediatric nurses, they’ve been hands-on with the children themselves – they know how to act in emergencies and understand the frustration many parents feel about not being prepared until it’s too late.

Practical Information

The course takes place in the hall at Family Zoo, where you’ll sit comfortably on our soft mats.

There’s plenty of space for breastfeeding, diaper changes, baby cries, and baby giggles. Strollers can be parked just outside the window in our enclosed backyard – always within your line of sight if your baby is napping in the peaceful surroundings.

The café is open from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and you’re very welcome to stop by before or after the course for a drink or something to eat.
